Youth for Christ Australia is part of YFC International, a Christian inter-denominational, non-profit, evangelical youth movement operating in over 110 countries. At its core, YFC is a movement of people unified by a common heart for Jesus and for young people. It is our desire for all young people to encounter Jesus, to experience radical freedom and to truly understand their identity as sons and daughters of God.

We work with local churches to tackle issues relevant to young people including goal-setting, drug abuse, sexuality, and suicide and self esteem. Each year in Australia over 50,000 young people are impacted through our ministry.

In the mid 1940s God touched dozens of leaders in different locations with a concern to reach out to those young people that many churches were missing. Dynamic young evangelists used revolutionary methods to start lively mass rallies in more than a dozen cities, under the common name, Youth for Christ in the USA and abroad. By November 1944, it was clear that an organisation should be formed to handle the growing flood of requests to start new rallies. A Chicago pastor, Torrey Johnson, was elected chairman of a temporary committee. He opened an office in Chicago and asked a young man named Billy Graham to become the first full-time Youth for Christ worker. Less than a year later, Youth for Christ International, Inc., was formally incorporated with Torrey Johnson as the first president.

YPF has simple reproducible tools and training to help multiply disciples for Jesus. Tools for entrance into spheres amongst the lost. Tools for sowing seeds of the Gospel. Tools for growing the seed. Gathering the harvest into the Church. These tools can be applied to existing church environments, church plants or home churches. Tools for developing leaders to multiply the movement. A framework for equipping and releasing others into leadership. And free online training for groups and individuals.
